FUCK : Where It all Began

I do not know whether this story is true or not. I just received it as a text message from a friend. I know text messages shouldn't be taken seriously but hey, this makes sense! Here's how the story goes:

In ancient England, people could not have sex unless they have consent from the kingor unless they belong to the royal family. If people wanted to have a baby, they have to ask consent from the king and the king will give them a card to be hung outside their door while they're having sex.

Written on it is: F. U. C. K. (Fornication Under Consent of the King), hence that's where the word "fuck" came from. Now, aren't you glad you learned something new today?

Who knows? If anybody does, let me know whether this story is true or not, okay? ;)

Street Fighter

Personal History

It was during my fifth grade when I knew about arcade games. But it was "Street Fighter" that I fell in love with among all other fighting games such as Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Mortal Kombat, etc. And up until now, I'm still playing the game; however, it is the latest edition that I'm playing. I liked the characters, the story, the gameplay, graphics, and everything else. I remember, I was the one covering my notebooks for school (grade school) and the design of my notebooks includes stickers of a Street Fighter character. I never learned to draw them. I just like playing the game.

Addicted

Thank goodness it still exists in a mall near our place (SM Bicutan). And almost every time I go to SM, there will be not a single chance that I will play even once. Now my friends don't wonder anymore what I will be doing staying for so long inside SM.

Hadouken!

Here's a genealogy chart of how I knew Street Fighter in the arcade games:

Street Fighter > Street Fighter II: World Warrior > Street Fighter II (Chanpion Edition; Turbo/Hyper Edition; The New Challengers) > Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2, 3 (USA); Zero 1, 2, 3 (Japan) > Street Fighter III: The New Generation; 2nd Impact: Giant Attack; 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future

There has also been the Street Fighter EX Series (3D) but I didn't find it that appealing. And also, there has been the Street Fighter Movie starring Jean Claude Van Damme and I also find it not that repulsive, although I was a kid then.

My Personal Journal

Art by Richard Kane Ferguson

There are things in life you wanted to remember, but there are lots of them and some, you unintentionally forget. You may remember if something or someone triggered it to be remembered. They say, you make take everything, but they cannot take your memory away from you. So as for me, I planned to put up my personal journal so if I forget some of the things I wanted to remember, I'll just look for and read it here. Some of you may be reading this, some will find it entertaining, and some may not. So as a disclaimer, I don't care whatever comments you put up. Anyways, I have my choice to have it posted or not.

Arcane Denial you ask? It's a mysterious dissent...

"If you want to remember something, tie a string around your index finger."
Confucious

"If you want to forget everything, tie a rope around your neck."
